i'm gifted with a bunch of wonderful girlfriends in london! because they were such a sweetheart and no doubt they adore me THAT much (rofl i would like to think that way), we went out last friday for another round of my 24th birthday celebration.

i was allowed to pick my own restaurant this time. i got a little greedy - confused, whether to try this or maybe that? hmmm i did find a hard time in making the final decision *headache*. so i booked a few and thought, "hey, lets just wait till tomorrow and see what i feel like eating. and i'll just cancel the rest."

but silly me, i forgot to read the small prints on the Toptable website. and i did gave my card details in one of the bookings *slap the forehead*

2 hours prior to the dinner, i got this phonecall from TT stating that i've got to pay GBP35 per person for canceling the reservation. ya Allah, THAT'S A LOT OF MONEY ohkay!!!!! grrrrrrr.

i guess you guys figured out what we did next.


Vanilla was our forced choice of the night! honestly, it wasn't that bad. the place emphasized a lot on it's ambiance; with the dim bling bling lights, white decorations and red rose on each table. the staff gave attentive service, well-mannered and charming (quote:missyF). probably you might want to consider it for a romantic dinner with your partner ;))


however the menu on the TT was very limited! they might just call it the-extended-lunch-menu. i had 4 deep fried tiger prawns with sweet and sour tomato sauce as starter and pearl barley and pumpkin risotto as my main dish. it was good, but not that amazing.

...and because it's more on the posh side, we just couldn't blurt out the word "tap water" to the waiter. such a pretentious cunt! *giggle*
