....like you browsed through your friends' profile and hop on to the next one when you read exciting, juicy wall-to-wall notes or click on the next photo and next and next. but you left no mark that you've paid a visit.
i do that. don't you? *raised one eyebrow?* please lah, i'm pretty sure most of you have done that too!!!
bukannye sombong tak mao tegur but... who knows they don't remember me after more than 9 years tak jumpe! or maybe i'm just a bit embarrassed to admit that i'm as lame as spending my friday night infront of the laptop and clicking on your fb profile. *sigh*
ohkay, that not the whole point of this post!*focus focus focus*
checking on others simply means that you still care about them. and you want to know about their progress in life, although you are not THAT close anymore.
just like her.
she was a friend i got to know back in primary school. very sempoi and happy-go-lucky. one fine day back during my first year in uni, i found out that she had one of her legs amputated due to bone cancer. only 20 years old and yet being tested THAT way... i sat back and can't help myself from feeling sorry for her.
i only got to meet her during alia's wedding last summer. basically she continued her degree, graduated and actually managed the ko-op in UITM. started dating someone new few months back (when we were talking about "eh you nak kawin bile" and so on). still the same old her- very chirpy, kaki pakai lipbalm and camwhore- as if nothing is bothering her.
oh i forgot to add that not long before i returned to malaysia for good, her cancer came back. this time, it's in her lungs.
berat mata memandang, berat lagi bahu memikul. i yang sayu ohkay! but she's very strong and positive about life! she fought cancer for nearly 5 years... and she lost the battle last tuesday.
