that's definitely the best gift for this christmas!
and since he always complained one *potpetpotpet* of me trying out new (eating) places in london without him, today marked as "our first day...."
or maybe it's more like a black-hole-tummy-day! *cheeky grin*
#stop 1 - tuk din at 41 craven road, paddingtoni've been hearing good reviews from missyD, missyAA and the brother, himself, regarding the authenticity and the delicious food being served here. so i'm quite excited to bring my sidekick and check it out together. we were the only customers there during our late-lunch (3pm). maybe the location is a wee bit far off kot from the paddington station - you wouldn't know its existence unless you passed by that area!
anyway we ordered teh tarik, sambal udang, daging salai masak lemak cili api and 3 plates of steamed rice. they were goooooooood, i tell you! *thumbs up* their food have this home-cooking-aroma; not too kedai-eeeee (if you understand what i'm trying to say lah!). the portion was moderate - we shared 2 lauks in-between the 3 of us- and i left the place feeling full and well-fed. the price is quite reasonable; not as expensive as satay house (although i still loveeee going there, tak kira mahal, sebab sedaaaap ohkay *love*)
#stop 2 - morelli's gelato at harrods, knightbridge
we were bored and tired after the non-stop window shopping in harrods. thus we stopped here and tried the chocolate sundae and hot chocolate drink. mr.bofwen said the drink was so-so only; nothing great about it. but the chocolate sundae was oh-so-divine! now i wonder if anyone could ever get orgasm from just eating chocolate? rofl.
#stop 3 - signor sassi at knightbridge
missyF has been raving about the lobster spaghetti from this italian restaurant thus i dragged mr.bofwen for a romantic dinner here. unfortunately, maybe my tummy has just had enough for the day...thus i couldn't find the x-factor of the dishes served to bring me back to the restaurant. the seafood risotto was a bit too salty for my tongue and the lobster spaghetti was so-so lah. nothing extravaganza, i would say. the place is small, and tables are places quite close to each other [less privacy]. the waiters were so kecoh and today i wasn't in the mood to socialize that much. thus i find them a bit too much to handle! heeeehhhh.
damaged done? very expensive; sampaikan mr.bofwen pon pening kepala . *thankssssss for the treat!*
