what makes a perfect christmas?

i do remember vividly my portion of childhood memories of enjoying uncle ganesen's tosai and maruku during deepavali, playing with michelle at uncle kor's place during chinese new year and jumping up-and-down the trampoline at hanxien's house during christmas.

living in a multi-racial community has definitely taught me a lot - not only about their culture and tradition - but also the way they work and think. plus, we get public holiday for each festive season. ngeeeeeeeh!

isn't it great to be a malaysian? *wink*

so last night we had an awesome christmas party. the #1pot-luck dinner was great; table was filled with lots and lots of food and never-ending dessert. since missyH's turkey wasn't halal, i offered to make the roast chicken. *clicked the mouse, comparing recipes online* i didn't really follow the measurements, omitted the celery, put a mixture of rosemary, thyme and sage and *fuuuh* it turned out great, syukur alhamdulillah. the chicken was delicious and very juicy. it live up to its name; a #2perfect roast chicken recipe indeed!*thumbs up* thanks a lot, mr. jamie oliver.

a lovely dinner, a bunch of #3wonderful friends as companion, and the thought of "tomorrow is sunday = extra time in bed" ....that's what make yesterday a special saturday. thanks missyH for organizing it.
and guess what? i got a splendid #4oh-not-so-suprised christmas gift from my secret santa. thank youuuuuuuuu!

[any of you readers had a go with this recipe book? let me know which is the must-try-one ohkay? *exciteeeed*]
