dalam erti kata lain, "rasuah" [bribe] lah sikit! lol.
i see it as a reward given to persuade someone so that he/she will be motivated to do more of the response wanted. my parents have been using this kind of method in bringing us up to who we are today. puasa satu hari dapat satu ringgit [one day of fasting then you'll be rewarded with rm1]. basuh satu kereta dapat rm5 or maybe rm10? i can't remember but as i grew older, i've realised that abah would have definitely saved a lot of money just by sending his cars to the professional car wash. and for exams lagi lah! remember my sis' upsr story?
but when you get easy access to money, you wouldn't appreciate its value. simply because you never realize how hard it was to earn it. i think what my parents were trying to tell me is that money don't grow on trees lah. that's why the only give if you....
honestly it was hard to get my parents to buy stuff for me when i was younger, especially from mama. she'll get it for you only if it's really really important and beneficial. books have never been a problem, but when it comes to things like clothes, shoes and bags, she just wouldn't understand why you need a new one when the worn-50-times clothes still looked brand new (in her eyes lah!).
then when i was 13, i fell in love with this sandal from padini. cantik giler! and i'm 101% sure that mama would drag me out of the store and head to Bata instead. so i had to saved the pocket money i get on daily basis; it was rm1.20 for mon-thurs and rm2.00 for friday. luckily i got the side "income" from abah- i purchased it the month after. yeay! and because i bought it with my own money, hasil titik peluh i, it remained as my favourite sandal for quite a long time. i had to chucked it away just because the strap was broken even after i've glued it back. i did try to save it ok!
dah "ajal"....nak buat camane kan? *shrug*
