no, i didn't spend the whole 3 weeks in okayama.
instead, we managed to cover hiroshima, miyajima, kurashiki, tokyo, mt. fuji, yokohama, kyoto, nara and osaka as well. all thanks to the Japan Rail Pass! ambitious giler kan? *laughs* we tried to maximise the usage of the pass; making sure that every penny spent on it was worth it.
and because we tried to do everything, trying has left us exhausted and physically drained. too hectic... too tiring! too much lah!
we started the day going 'ooooohhhhh' and 'aaaaaahhhhh' when we saw everything - the torii gate, Tokyo skylight, Kinkaku-ji (Temple of Golden Pavilion - and everything else.

then we got bored halfway through and it seems more fun to do this:
once we pancit-ed, nothing beats a good meal to recharge the low energy level.
...it can be something simple and quick like takoyaki, freshly baked+hot momiji manju, grilled oyster or rice cakes/crackers with loads of different spices.
...or something more filling like sushi [fresh from Tsukiji Market, Tokyo], eel served with rice, okonomiyaki or even udon.
and only then, we can continue The Journey to the East. because an empty stomach can't hear and will only talk nonsense. *cheeky grins*
