One Wednesday morning, 3 girls with high hopes of making yummilicious, beautiful sushi went to a Japanese Kitchen in Putney Bridge area. From the east to the west....just to find the materials and ingredients needed. I wonder....asal lar we tk pegi ChinaTown je huh? Lagi dekat!!! hee hee hee :P
Dengan semangat berkobar-kobar, we started our sushi adventure as soon as we got back from Sainsburys (to get the wet ingredients pulak!). Finally by 5pm, we managed to make about 30ish Maki-sushi :)
I guess the crucial part of making sushi is to produce the rice yang sedaaaap! You dont want it to be too vinegar-y, or too salty or too sweet. Then the filling will be the bonus! I made two types of sushi; Hosomaki-sushi with carrots and cucumbers (too sayur-y for me..taste soo blunt without the wasabi!) and California roll (i liikee this one better sbb ade crab meat!). Fatiha made Hosomaki-sushi with marinated tuna (sodaaaap!) while eli came up with her own creative idea which was Futomaki with omelette and peppers. I like sushi with meat! Sayur sahaje buhsan lahhhh....hmmm maybe if we can find shop that sells fresh salmon, probably we can buat Nigiri-sushi with salmon pulak!!! hee hee hee...
Elizabeth (our project manager!) was really excited that everything turned out canteks! From the part buat nasi then arrange the nori sheet-sushi rice-filling to roll-it-properly-so-the-filling-is-in-the-middle and finally cut the sushi....EVERYTHING was fun!!! I guess twas great coz i had lovely company making it with me! Awww...thanks eli and fatiha! Atleast takdelah i duduk dalam bilik sorang2 today and rot alone. huhuhu :P
