my love for food is so much i can't hide it anymore!
it's all about food nowadays. new restaurants that we went to check out, latest kitchen adventures, hanging out with friends which obviously became food-related (...we don't drink or go clubbing maaa!), birthday parties... i just have to be eating!
i think i've been chomping down too much of food lately that the tummy started feeling a bit uncomfortable.*rubs the tummy* bloated like that... but that doesn't mean that i'm gonna stop eating, am i? nom nom nom
anyhooooo, you readers have been introduced to the malaysian, korean, japanese, chinese, italian and thai restaurants in london. but i hardly talk about the real british meals being served here, no?
ok lesson #1 they love their tea! where can you find a shop selling loads of choices of tea- too many that i got rambang mata while choosing them. i tried the feel-good-tea which was disgusting! i had to repeat to myself that i do feel good few times before the effect kicked-in OR maybe i was cheated by the "placebo" tea effect!
nevertheless, sipping hot tea sambil chit-chatting with friends in a tea-shop can be quite relaxing, you know.
lesson #2 the meals wont be any different than those you can already imagine- fish and chips, hearty fry-up breakfast, afternoon tea and of course those meals with non-halal meat i.e. pork/bacon. oh they adore the cheese as well.
the thing is, they are boriiiiiing.
even my idol tutor (when i grow up, i want to be just like you, sir), once commented on how he enjoys and loves the breakfast being served in malaysia... well all that was during his fatty-years lah kononnye. <--not like he is kurus now! *laughs*
excuse me? british meals are super duper greasy and unhealthy also ohkay!
look at the traditional English vegetarian breakfast i've ordered from hoop&grapes yesterday. for GBP4.50 i got 2 vegetarian sausages, 2 fried eggs, baked beans, sauted mushroom, tomato and toast. gemuk kaaaaaan?
