east end sunday market

for those of you who don't know how east london looks like, don't be shocked when you first step out of the whitechapel tube station.

you'll be greeted by the buzzing and lively-ness of the market- where you can get fresh fruits, flowers, vegetables, seafood; all at a really
cheap price. turn your head around and soon you will notice that most of the people around you are dark skin asians; pakistan, indian and bangladeshi.

mat salleh whaaaaaaaat?
it seems impossible to find more than 10 people on the street at one time.

this part of london may seems dodgy-er and less glam and uncivilized [like ahmagaaad, why do people like to spit merata-rata? eeuuuwwww gross!]. annnnd if you want pirated dvd, come to this area yo!

But it does have some hidden gem around the neighbourhood. serious.like the columbia flower market. which sells a varieties of flower; from those freshly picked to decorate your vase on the table or plants that will be getting a new place to call home at your garden. everything was so pretty and so cheap sumore!!!! if only i went there with mr.bofwen; confirmed i'll give the "get me one of that" eye contact for him to get a bunch for me *cheeky laugh*
be aware that because it's only open on sunday from 8am to 3pm-ish, do expect a big crowd during your visit. not only that you need to watch out for the people that are merely 2 steps away from you, but have to keep an eye for their dogs as well. i don't see the point of
bringing your pet to shop for flowers but *shrug* yeah, it happens anyway.

i came back with two pots of hyacinth. 2 pots for gbp1. i wasn't sure what it was in the beginning, but i thought i'd figure it out later. too cheap to say no!!!! lol.

on my way home i stopped by at the infamous brick lane beigel bakery. and decided to join the que and grabbed a smoked salmon with creme cheese beigel. it only cost me gbp 1.50. so cheap right? [uhmm i was contemplating on whether to go in or not since the owner is an israeli- mundar-mandir la jugak depan kedai tu for a good 15 minutes].

anyway smoked salmon and creme cheese can't go wrong, do they? in the end, it's the texture of the beigel itself that matters the most. my question now is- does beigel meant to not be as soft as bread?

uh-huh. no idea. [continued munching]
