our dear korean friend, missyFP planned to make korean pancake tonight! yum!me, being very jakun and *whispering* adore food that much, immediately said yes to the offer. it reminded me of the savoury pancake i had at the izakaya in japan last summer. but apparently, this time the chef is planning on making the dessert-type pancake.
interesting, i thought!
then i've discovered that it's ridiculously easy to prepare; be aware that you need to be ready to dip your into the oil so that the dough wouldn't end up sticking to your hand instead of frying in the pan. it felt like making roti canai to me- although the dough is slightly stickier.
so here's the 1-2-3 photographic steps of making sweet stuffed korean pancake. [we were the cheap labours imported by the chef; now i know how to do it by heart already :P <-- just kidding! t'was fun, serious.]
step 1:
after you've followed the premix instructions and the dough is ready to be used, take segenggam of the dough and spread it into you oiled-palm. bagi die leper baek punya lah!
step 2:
put the sweet inti -brown sugar, crushed peanuts and cinnamon- in the middle of the dough and close it up to become a penyet-ball. make sure there's no holes for the filling to seeps out. seal it ok. step 3:
fry it on the non-stick frying pan until it's brown. you can flip it over with the flipper ......but if you've got the talent, who needs the flipper? very impressive indeed missyN *thumbs up*
then walla! it's ready to be eaten :))
told you that it's gonna be easy *wink*
oh make sure you make it with your friends around. it's a lot more fun!
