Birds that sing before midnight

selamat harijadi ke-twentysomething, dina!!!

After few years of baking, yesterday i made the first attempt of decorating a birthday cake with fondant. i've chosen a very basic design; roses. it was fun mixing the different basic colours to produce a "new" shade. and the rest - it's all up to your own creativity and imagination. however it wasn't as easy as i thought it'll be. the verdict? comot but i think still pretty kot ;)) probably a bit more of practice and more proper utensils are all that i need to improve.

"start by doing what is necessary.
then do what is possible.

and suddenly you are doing the impossible."

we (FINALLY!) tried the spanish tapas bar ahui-has-been-talking-about-for-ages;
La Tasca. dinner was tapas buffet for a tenner. quite a number of selections but mostly contain patatas. soooo mengenyangkan, how la to makan banyak2 like that? he he he. food was ok. unfortunately they didn't have the seafood paella yesterday. pfffffftttt. nevertheless, it was definitely worth the money. sooooo blardy cheap ok? ;))

L to the O to the V and E

"This is my wish for you -
comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbow to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss your lips, sunset to warms your heart, hugs when spirit sag, beauty for your eyes to see, friendship to brighten your being, faith so that you can believe, confidence for when you have doubt, courage to know yourself, patience to accept the truth, love to complete your life."

Let's try Rootmaster, the BUS-taurant! The double-decker restaurant looks cool, with an open kitchen on the lower deck and tables on the upper deck. Moreover, they serve organic, healthy, vegan-friendly food..LOL

the topping on the cake tu was shredded choc. and for the fondant, i used the dr. oetker coloured icing ready to roll. u just combine the colour ikut suke u nak produce shade ape. then u shape it into anything u like lah. where do i learn to do the roses? ntah, just gamble je buat. ha ha ha. bughuk sikit ar. but ok what for a first try. i think u can google or tgk youtube ke? sure got one, i think :)) selamat mencuba.
