17th december, come quick!
home is where i (badly) want to be ;))
preparations for the wedding are moving along just fine. mama is all set, full blast wedding mode to siapkan everything. she sounded so excited and thrilled whenever we talked about it over the phone. i guess, first wedding is always THE wedding in the family. no wonder la bukan pengantin je registered for a facial beauty course yang berharga RMxxxx. mak pengantin pun joined skali.
he he he sooooooo funny ok!!!!
speaking of wedding... when i was a little girl, i always go "ooohhhh" and "aaaaahhhh" when belek-ing the majalah pengantin or when nona showing some grand, random wedding. everything seems so simple back then. marriage seems like a happy adventure; u get to dress up and look so pretty like a princess, people celebrate you, you'll be pampered with loads of gifts, pegi honeymoon-ing with the dearie husband, give birth to cute, mini-you and you live happily ever after. the end.
errrr...you think so ah? **berkerut-kerut**
unfortunately not all wedding ended like those disney stories on the telly. nowadays banyak sangat kes cerai berai ni. and it scares the hell out of me :(( but i shall keep my thoughts on that for another entry. as for now, i need some idea weiiiii..... (1)what to get for along, the bride-to-be? (2)and how la to start the speech for the wedding reception ni?
any ideas?

Your last two quotes are contradicting with each other!!
"To be happy with a man....love him a little....A successful marriage requires falling in love many time"
anyways, what to get for ur sister?here are some suggestions:-
a) some teddy bears, a couple to symbolise her and her partner,if she's into those stuff.
b)an album, with ur family in it,or a picture collage of ur family etc, frame nicely and all.
c)a book!something like 'wife for dummies' kinda thing.or a cookbook.
d)or some swarovski crystals, if u wanna spend big.
how to start a speech?i like this style:
a) thank everyone,then
b) start by telling her background (either her education ke,how they meet up ke)
c) tell the audience some funny story bout her,not embarrassing, but funny enough to make the audience laugh and engaged with the speech.
d) tell about her personality.
e) pesanan ayahanda dan bonda dan keluarga.
f) thank again. u can throw in some pantun if u want.
g) enjoy the night.
there was one speech, it was like pantun all the way, full of pesanan kinda thing, not bad gak, unique.
just make sure to keep it sweet and simple, 10 mins or so, this is not khutbah jumaat.
To be happy with a woman, you must love her a lot and not try to understand her at all." eheh agree2. coz were too difficult to understand.
anyway hv fun!!!! :)and congratz to ur sister say thanks to her for taking care of mum the other day :)

ha ha ha thanks for the super long comment. i rase u sorang je bole write an entry on "how to write speech for your sibling's wedding" ;))
contradicting ey those 2 quotes? *shrug* abit confusing sbb ur reading the guy part kot, as in to be happy with a man...blablabla.... but if u think from a woman perspective, we do love alot of other side things. but we are loyal. so even if we love our men little, we will still fall in love with the same guy over and over again. plus, jarang ok perempuan curang dkt suami. once dah kawin, we settle down quietly. lelaki je miang :P

i pun setuju!!! like men can't (actually will never ever) understand women. we're wayyyyy to complicated for their level :P ha ha ha. so i guess wuts important is they love us alot alot alot. so even when they find it difficult to see things the way we see it or when we are sooo difficult to handle...because they love us alot, they'll tolerate us. stick by our side, no matter what happens. lol.
besttt...get to go home n attend ur sis's wedding...i shud rush my bro to get married too ...hahaha
i like zul's third gift idea - 'wife for dummies' haha...i havent seen any tho...
:))
happy coz i get to go home twice this year... like a pay-back because i didnt go home for 2 years haritu. but im kinda sad my sister is getting married. she gonna have her own family. then i wont be seeing her as much as i see her nowwwww. she'll be in other home, with the hubby :(( then nobody to teman me go beli tudung or bebel sbb i bazir electric (sbb tk tutup kipas...to let my room cool all the time ha ha ha). i'll miss all that *sigh*
wife for dummies - ade jual kah? jom cari dkt waterstones. lol
i understand ur point...sedih bile ur sister is married and have her own family. u'll get to spend less time with her. and she'll move out to her own place sume. sedih2. i actually cried after the akad nikah. but u can always have a sisters-day-out like i always did with my along. but once ade anak dah kena reduce. :(
get her a cun handbag! or a reallyyyy nice diaper bag (i baru survey sbb nk letak camera) cun gila xtipu! [seperti oi oi diaper bags etc)
congratulations on your sister's wedding ash ;)
::ijah::
i guess that's how life is once you have your own family :(( it's okkkkk....i tk sbr nak dpt anak saudara. i was discussing it with mujid haritu, nak suruh anak sedara i panggil i ape. aunty ashie, cool tak? ha ha ha :P
::myra::
i alwaysssss kasi her handbag whenever i balik for summer hols. and she actually told me not to buy anymore sbb dah banyak sgt. hahaha. but thanks for the idea.
and i'll definitely let her know of the congratulasi wishes ;))
