eehhh did i tell u we had a realllly last minute changed of plan on the doorgift presentation for the dewan? managed to persuade abah to skipped his interview anddd drove all the way to puchong for this cute, square jars. then obviously have to do a lot of washing laaah kan before i can use it.

....yes, i do need some fabric for the jars' cover BUT the most important task would be, where the freaking hell are my curtains? ade hati nak pasang on thurs when the big day is on saturday? *fainted*

a soft reminder to you-know-who-you-are that i'll be seeing you lot in 10 days from now! freaking ten!!! at this point, playing a big role as the wedding planner for my own wedding, i can't explain how knackered and worried i am. wedding jitters? *shrug*

legal documents have been settled which was a big relief lah! the bride, wali, saksi(s) and tok kadi met for breakfast on one fine saturday. and all he asked was, "ini ke bakal pengantin perempuan?" then they went back to their conversations about whatsoever lah yang takde kaitan dgn marriage. then today abah finally went to hand it in to the pejabat agama. so yay, can kahwin already!

all doorgifts have finally been finalised- be it at home during nikah or during the garden reception dinner. now it's the never-ending tying ribbons business in progress. i need more hands! HELP!

sadly i havent had any fitting for neither the baju nikah nor the baju sanding. worried? should i? naaaaah, i have faith in both my dressmakers. *fingers crossed* please lah pray baju itu fit nicely ohkay. if not, nangis lah i....

and i still haven't figure out the songs that i want to be played during the reception. and my entrance song- is it too much if i request for a friend to nyanyi live when i masuk? teeheehee. and like, the flow of my grand entrance? kompang, selawat and then lagu? or kompang followed by lagu and when i finally sampai pelamin, baru selawat? no idea. pening.

ok nervous. and now bride-to-be kene tidur kurkurkur. must sleep before 12 starting today!

my first bridal shower (cehcehceh budget there's more to come lah! *hint*) was organised by my favourite girls; mun min sue. despite our busy schedule -sue came all the way from pahang in her postcall state+going back ptg ni jugak, we finally made it to Andana spa as a treat for our exhausted,overworked body.

i'm glad we blocked the date one month ago!

...coz it spelled FUN FUN FUN!

basically after we checked in, they brought us to our private room where we can eat, lepak, chat, watch dvd (we picked "i love you, beth cooper") and more of eating business. food choice wise, ok-ok lah! alot of fried stuff which i had to avoid. nasib baik den memang hantu sandwich!

while waiting for our massage treat, we soaked ourselves in the sauna pool. and that's when they started bombarding me with the "truth and nothing but the truth" game. whatever being said there and then stays in the room, ohkaayyy girls :P

then we moved on to the aromatic oil massage and got ourselves "lanyak-ed" for about 45 minutes. i love the part when she covered my face with the towel and had some aromatherapy on the eyes (so cooling and refreshing!) and started massaging the head. i badly need it! selalu sakit kepala lately lah. it ended with ginger tea which was eeuuuuwwwwww, tak sedap! but anything healthy isn't meant to be delicious, no? lol.

finally we went back to our private room for another round of food+wedding updates.... before we hit the sauna room to (konon-kononnye) burn the extra fat we've managed to gain for the day!

i had my first taste this morning. and t'was a hell bumpy ride i had! the fun of being able to keep on moving despite the heavy traffic; all went down the drain.

...one hand was grasping, holding on tightly to the armrest while another hand supported the "heavy" head. almost vomited no joke! poning kepalo den :S

and we've reached the fine-details-part of the wedding preparations.

things i'm aiming to settle kan before the countdown hits *alert* 30:

1. legal procedures- jade has settled his so now it's my turn. taking time off is my biggest problem! sigh.

2. bilik pengantin- i want to revamp the room! like give it a new, fresh image. it's no longer about me; it'll soon be me+him. need to cari someone to paint+pasang wallpaper since it's impossible for me to diy it. got not time! oh it's time to tukar curtain oso.

3. cuti kawin- ooh yes, i haven't request for cuti lagi. gotta wait for the right time to minta since i'm a newbie with the department. soon insyallah soon.

4. spa- where (hammam? khareyana spa?)

who (bridesmaid? bgfs? alone? )

when (weekend before kawin? or maybe time cuti prior to the big day- a lil bit too late?)

5. hantaran 3 more to go.

i recently witnessed a facelift operation on a 56 year old lady. she reaaaaaally look younger after the op! like a 36 year old lady?

but i just couldn't understand why would someone go into THAT much of pain?

(i just have to add that this lady not only have susuk- lots of them! on her face, pakai botox lagi tu!)

we're talking about making a cut on your upper hairline to reduce the creases on the forehead. another cut that goes down to the earlobe to make your cheek tighter. must be damn sakit for a good few weeks tu.

and the thing i lebih tak faham is that, how come this makcik who had her bandages removed after the op for some cleaning commented that it wasn't enough?!!!

who could have missed the castle-like bungalow just sebelah highway in kampung pandan?

well, i didnt!

although i am NOT a big fan of lamb, i'm quite curious with the place. afterall, everyone raves about it when niki had them as the caterer for her BIG DAY.

the place was quite empty on our arrival; with only few tables being occupied. But still got no table for us. why?- sbb most of the tables are for up to 10 people. so you imagine, just me+jade with 8 empty chairs "staring" at us while we eat.

anyway, we ordered chicken mandy and the chicken kebab.

the chicken may looked a bit pale (+sick?) but oo-em-gee, it was so tender, soft and succulent. we both love it! although jade commented that the portion mcm dah kurang je compared to years back...?

the chicken kebab, on the other hand, was ok ok lah. i love the roti when it was still warm.

#highlight of the meal:

my mango lassi. THE BOMB lah! very thick; just the way i like it *thumbs up*

spent 24hours of my weekend with the mertua in baling, kedah.

me + jade + them in the same house?

you see, jade has already entered our family wayyyy before we decided to get married. he remembers everyone's birthday and will personally wish them through sms. he loves to bring buah tangan whenever he travels; fruits are definitely the right way to win mama's heart. he made a point to enter the house and greet mama abah before he takes me out. he loves my nephew as much as he loves his own.

but me? -only been to their house 3 times for the past nearly 10 years.

....fail (BIG TIME!) lah nak jadi menantu kesayangan!!!

so when jade decided to bring me back to his hometown for his cousin's wedding, panic attack laaa wei!

"should i wear headscarf dalam rmh?"

"should i wake up early to help preparing the breakfast?"

"how kampung is this kampung anyway? shit, confirm kenot poop!"

nerve wrecking but ahhhhhh, t'was fun and a good introduction to the family i'm about to join come this july. insyallah.

you know what makes me a cool, calm and composed bride-to-be; despite the crazy-hell workloads and a loooooong things-to-do-list together with the never ending babbling from the mother?

cheap food that satisfy the tummy, without causing extra holes in my pocket :))

jade and i visited ko hyang@the gardens during our search for moi ring. (i'm happy to announce that i think i've found THE ring! let see if jade agrees with the price tag that comes with it. lol)

this kiosk-like eating place is very open; expect some hungry stares from passersby.

always damn packed one lah! which means...no privacy lah! the tables are being placed very close to one another. so i don't recommend you go and bitch about someone while you're there- unlike the 2 ladies who sat beside us yang kept whinning about how messy her husband was. oh god! drama rumahtangga betul la *pout*

back to the food...

they served banchan while waiting for our food. it's a bit weird for me to find fried ikan bilis in a korean restaurant....so i dare not eat it!

the kimchi pancake was a disappointment :(( drenched in oil and tasted like the cucur. i'm pretty sure my grandma can make a lot nicer than this! i only had a bite of it and that was it...no more for me!

i ordered chicken bibimbap, which was served in a stainless steel bowl instead of the normal hot stone pot i always see back other korean restaurants in london. tastewise, not bad! strong sesame seed taste which jade hated it lah. hahahaha.

but we both agreed that we both loveeeee the stir fried squid in spicy sauce!!!*thumbs up* so sedap that i kept nicking some from jade's plate. haih how come his order always turned up to be nicer than mine? pffftttttttt.

will we be back?

...probably just for the spicy squid lah!

i finally watched the "strangers, again" video on youtube. kept seeing it on friends' fb profile but never get the chance to watch it. today was the day....like finally lah kan!

stage 4: comfortable; that's how i'd think we are in currently.

...especially now that we are either a)too busy with daily work routines or b)getting too bogged down with the wedding preps; that we seemed to forget the art of dating.

so semalam, we decided to have a break.

or so to say, a time off from wedding business and just focus on us :))

went to sunway pyramid dgn harapan nak tgk late night movie but waaaahhhh que was so looong! tak sanggup please?

we ended up muching at ireland's potato. *giggles*

the fries are fat- fatter than those you can find from fastfood outlets. i love fat fries. fat, not soggy ohkay :P but if you like the thin, crispy ones...then you're in a wrong place, mate!

the cheese sauce was ohkay-ohkay lah. initially we wanted to try out the meat sauce tapi takde la pulaaaak. we both kind miss the taco chips that we sangat2 loveeee in rico, dublin. terbaek!

the downside is that it's a little bit pricy for a finger-food level. rm11.80 for maybe about 30 batang fries? or maybe less. kesimpulannye, takdelah banyak sangat.

sorry for the silence. but the new posting has been demanding pretty much most of my time. who the hell stays in the hospital for a straight-whole-week to tag for oncall?

on top of that, three times per week masuk operation theatre (OT) which normally ends up late. luckily i only kene till 9pm haritu. one of the colleagues pernah kene till 4am next day. ho ho ho.

aaaaahhhhhhh it's tiring...yet interesting.

oklah putting the jokes aside, i honestly don't think marriage is a penghalang to expand your career. obviously it's hard lah kan nak juggle those two together? nak kembangkan family. also nak kembangkan career.

or...was it too long, masa kecik-kecik dulu, that you can't really remember when apart from the scary drilling sound and a person behind the mask asking you to keep your mouth open?

having the experience of working in the government primary care for 4 months, i have to comment that our oral health awareness ain't that great! it was a big surprise for me to find that we have an overwhelming number of patients who queued up since morning to have their teeth extracted. every single freaking week!!!!

like banyak giler gigi korang that needs to be extracted?

it is sad that people don't realise how important their natural teeth are. it's true if gigi dah cabut, there are always options on how to replace them. but honestly, it'll never be the same!

so, in conjunction with colgate's oral health month, i'd like to invite you guys for a free dental checkup and consultation. all you need to do is check out the nearest check-up venue and just come lah!

everyone has been ~~harassing~~ reminding me regarding my (slow) wedding progress. ohkay ohkay i geddit; i'm running out of time. but, aunty uncle, it's not easy you know to juggle work and wedding preps, all at the same time!

sigh.

anyhoooos, here's some updates and i've decided to narrow down on things that need to be done (read: PRONTO!):

1. hantaran: stagnant- still 1 out of 9 (...at least i've found the one to do the sireh junjung, and 1 more dulang for manisan. kira 3 settled la; kan?) not that i'm taking my own sweet time in completing this BUT gaaaaah, shopping with men can be difficult at times too! tak kelakar dah dowh. im sooo gonna drag jade to the shopping mall this saturday! that's it.

2. invitation cards: emailed one vendor. am still looking for a place that can print cards for good price-although i'm looking at around 400 copies only. any recommendation, girls?

3. favours: those for nikah are being settled by uncle sham in jakarta. need to purchase the one for the reception AND decide on what to give for those seating at the meja beradap. nope, no VVIPs for my reception. i hate all those protocols and who cares if you're dato' or datin or tan sri? i'm the centre of attention, remember? :P selfish; i know!

4. sound system and mist fan for nikah at home: still hunting. anyone you nak recommend?

5. maid of honors/ bridesmaids/ bestmen: need to personally ask for their favours and get their materials pronto.

6. master of ceremony: tak sort out ni lagi *hides under the selimut*

7. guest list: YES!!! belum sit down dgn jade lagi... it's difficult getting married to a medical house officer yang sibuk memanjang. *double sigh*

let us be realistic lah.

...at least, all above HAVE to progress by the time u read the next update!

who's missed macarons?

Going to Paul for the first bite of this cute little French-thing didn't really justify the macarons craze!

I then got lost in Laduree, together with missyH and missyF, as we were surrounded by colourful macarons. Much to our dismay, the one we've been aiming for, sold out on that day. boohoo :((

the hunt for macarons didn't stop there!

during the summer trip to paris, i dragged mama and abah to pierre herme and bought half dozen of them. when you're in france, this is what you're suppose to try out. yay?

...ingatkan bila balik malaysia, i'll soon forget of them! i mean, c'mmon, i've tried the famous, the sifu of all macarons in paris, it'll never be the same kan?

but ah well, lil sister just celebrated her birthday last friday AND she's been asking me about macarons. so i try not be sceptical about malaysian product and lets give it a try, shall we?

so i belanja-ed wawa 10 tiny, 50cents size macarons from whisk. it's rm2 per macarons; jade was unhappy with it- so small yet so costly! lol. sumore not much of choices left when we came...

imho, this one more crunchy+biscuit-yy like. and the filling inside has a creamier version. a bit different than those i've tried previously. although, i have to say, i love that whisk's macarons are not tad too sweet. tolerable! *green light from missyDentist*

i'm never into this merenjis idea but the parental said, no pelamin if no merenjis! gaaaaahhh. so i settled down with their condition; win-win situation i supposed. so if got merenjis, u need the bunga pahar- those bunga telur u gave to whoever yang merenjis the newlywed couple.

and the moment mama did along's bunga pahar back during her wedding in 2008, i already knew that mama gonna do the same for mine. only this time, i am a bossy+more cerewet bride-to-be than along. *giggle*

hydrangea has always been my inspiration *loveeeeee* and i'm blessed with such a creative mother who managed to sort out how to actually do it. she did most of the dipping and assembled everything to actually look like a bouquet.

eh eh i turun padang jugak ohkay! did the wire bending and tabur the gold dust and the pearly in the middle. susah juugaaaak tuuuuuuu :P rambang mata i lepas buat 700++ petals!

...it's perfect, in my point of view, as it was made with loads of motherly love!

Teh Tarik Place

jade wanted to catch up, and unwind following the stressful week. we didn't want anything fancy (read: need to save moolah PLUS last weekend dah makan buffet at tao's)... so we picked this cool place in empire gallery.

Teh Tarik Place (TTP) is sort of the contemporary, modern-ish version of the mamak stall. very clean, very relaxing and not as noisy as the usual mamak place lah. i like the interior; very minimal yet very cozy. wanted to duduk at their kerusi rotan gantung tu but oh well, jade being jade, was worried incase they.... you'd figure yourself lah!

anyway jade had their nasi kerabu. after our first suap, we both agreed that yati ayam percik serves better than TTP. i find it a little too sour. the budu, maybe?

as for me, i've ordered their curry laksa. am currently hunting for something kaw kaw like the one i had back in hare and tortoise, london.

first impression-

ni curry laksa ke masak lemak cili api? asal kuning semacam weiiii?

i then had my first taste of the dish- kuah only- annnddddd it was actually not bad! i like it. jade gave it a 4/5 rating. TTP gets brownie point from me because it wasn't oily; unlike those from old town white coffee. *slurrrpppppp* although they could have put more isi (chicken, fish balls, prawns, etc) in it lah.

price wise, oklaaahhhh.....rm6.50 per dish. not that bad eh?

wouldn't mind coming here again to lepak. probably will try out their nasi lemak one of these days. it seems like most customers who came in ordered that!

ups and downs

jade had a tough call last week. my poor baby! sometimes i wonder if medicine field is really what's best for him; asyik tension je i tengok. hmmph.

but then i realised, at some points in our lives, all of us have had (or are currently facing) issues with our self-confidence; whether it's about our bodies, our careers, our relationships, our finances, or just life in general.

and it's difficult to ignore the issue- maybe you are just a naturally over-thinker/stress-er/ worrier?

which then leads to those moments when you feel like you're in the wrong job, country, relationship or whatever. feel like giving up on everything...and just leave.

i guess life is about working through these times. it's to do with you figuring out who you are- until you fully work out what it means to be happy. it ain't an easy task unfortunately.

of course everybody has insecurities and feelings of self-doubt. but it's all about working on your confidence and having complete trust in your own strengths. although we might stumble through step by step...hey, nobody's perfect yeah?

we're from down and below but moving towards UP UP UP direction.

the cheeky little monster

as much as i adore the little nephew#1, i have to admit that his hitting habit is getting on my nerves.

he's such a bully, you see! he likes to "baaaaaaap" people's face, head, anywhere...anytime. and it's like smack hard (ouch!) on you.

along even got complaints from his teacher at school [...yeah he goes to day-care now; tok mama tak larat to babysits him all day long since we've lost our maid. yet again]. he bully the bigger, older boys tau.

...and he'll just laugh off (dengan penuh evil) after that. no guilt at all.

truth is, he is a very adorable boy. maybe the fact that we never scold him for doing so has actually, in some way, encourage him to do it even more often.

i finally completed my puasa ganti. yay!

...and to celebrate "raya", jade and i went hunting for salmon on saturday night. if you follow me since my london years, you'll realised by now how much i adore japanese food. and i've been skipping my monthly ritual since july that i am badly craving for it now.

off we went to tao cusine at sunway giza. i highly recommed that you make rsvp beforehand because this place, fuuuhhhhh, always FULL HOUSE oneeee.

we were then showed to our respective table and the eating marathon begins :))

basically you can take anything from the counter- sushi section, sashimi section (got salmon-nyums!, tuna, squid etc), raw oyster, teppanyaki section (alot of choices here!), soup section, and desserts. AND you can order anything from the menu, free of charge.

all you can eat for rm58++ only!!!! yay or nay?

i had a good "salmon" fix for myself last night; that's for sure. definitely wayyyy better than sushi king's experience.

my favourite of the night would definitely be the scallop!!!! delish *thumbs up*

i was still chomping down a plate of (second round) sushi when jade surrendered. sigh. how come he not semangat one when it comes to buffet? *look to the wedding coutdown.... hmmm patutlah!*

all in all, tao cuisine is a good option for affordable, cheap japanese buffet. although they don't serve very authentic ones lah. the ambiance and setting is quite nice- very dim light- can be quite romantic, IF ONLY tak ramai sangat manusia in the restaurant. havoc ohkay!

last saturday+sunday of february were spent celebrating our newlywed friends. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

i didn't realised how rush it'll be if it's a sunday wedding. last time during alia+shahrul's reception i was err...unemployed! we stayed till past midnight and i wasn't even complaining.

but this time, we had to leave early. tak sempat bergambar with the newlywed couple pun :((

they reminded me of snog, london. except that they didn't turn out to be as masam as snog's frozen yogurt. although i believe snog's texture felt creamier and thicker- just like how yogurt is. with TT, it seems ice-ier (if there's such word lah!).

hmmm a combo of snog's texture + tt's not-so-sour taste; then it'll be perfect. for me.

oh btw, tt is more of self-service treatment. good thing they've got instructions one as you enter the main door.

he has seen me going to too many appointments - dressmakers lah, pelamin maker lah, halls spokeperson lah yaddi yadda- that he thinks i'm way too obsessed with all these wedding preparations that i need to do everything, from a to z, on my own. i am, afterall, the bride-to-be cum wedding chief executive and senior creative officer. *smirk*

[my aunty, uncle disagree with my idea of having the nikah pelamin garden-style since it will be in the morning (as requested by jade's dad). panas; nanti makeup cair! ngeeeehhhhh. i'm sure we can get more cooler fans tu, no? ]

Ya Allah, banyaknya wedding invitations for this month!

not that i am complaining BUT february seems to be the favourite month to get hitched! -valentines whaaaaaaat? we're celebrating our anniversary lah !

speaking of wedding invitations, jade and i attended 2 home weddings and they were lovely! i always love love love casual wedding reception. formal ones are never my favourite in the first place! rasa macam...too restricted!

firstly, at home everyone is invited. your children can tag along to meriahkan the majlis. like babyA, he's the favourite flavour for all the events. semua sibukkkk nak gomol die :P too cute too resist lah!

at home, you have the whole time in the world to actually wait for the newlywed couple and snap photos+(minimal) catch up. not soooo much of a rush compared to seating dinner at the dewan.

we've been meaning to have a reunion of us, five girls, after 5 years long being "incomplete". yalah, with one itik studying in london while another itik studying in melbourne- pretty hard to get our holiday clashed in the same time.

and now, even with me being back for good, it is still veryyyyy hard to get us all sitting in the same room WITHOUT being too occupied with either the bf/fiance or bb. very bad, i know :((

BUT twinItik was about to leave for melbourne....

...and she'll be missing both of our weddings; bestieMoon and mine. thus, the girls with the bling-bling on jari manis decided to have a short girlie session during friday prayer. sorry darlingSue and meentos, korang sibuk sangat!

anywayyyyy nama pun public holiday kan? thus most of the shops were closed. from uptown to ou, we then find ourselves around PJ area hunting for kokopelli travellers bistro. pretty hard to find this place -thanks to the poor malaysia google map! bluek.

it's in an old bungalow with extensive decor, inside and out. very homey and cute; i'd say. apparently the owner+wife have traveled alot and decided to start a food business which offers western and eastern dishes.

i didn't try the soup but twinItik commented that it has an acquired taste *shrug*

bestie's fungi creamy pasta was not bad;

although i like the one at meatworks better!

[not a good comparison though- satu beefy, satu fungi-ee]

and my burger, nothing too outstanding that's worth mentioning.

[..and they charged rm2.90 for that slice of cheese WITHOUT even asking me if i actually want one! if you really gonna put it in automatically, why must there be an additional charge for it?]

pretty disappointing ey? agaklaaaa considering how much effort and time we took just to find the place! trying hard not to be skeptical, we bravely moved on to their humble selections of desserts.

we picked their creme brulee...

...and the banoffe pie.

alhamdulillah we managed to feed our tummy with, at least, good dessert!

and that's when you have these 3 wacko girls high in sugar.

i wish i could change the attitude of our waiter/waitress.

it is annoying that i pay 5% service charge for a crappy service. c'mmon, more than an hour wait for the food when i was informed by the waiter, "oh tengah masak tu" or "ayam grill memang lama sikit!". the same excuses ever since 30 minutes ago? or maybe even longer! and dude, watsup with the malas-nak-layan-selenge face? you're being paid to serve your customers.

...the least you could do is apologize?

i do realised that this is not europe- you get tips because you earned that money. and i do realised that the 5% doesn't go into the workers' pockets; instead the gov takes it all, kan? probably that's why they have no motivation to act nice. no reason to work so hard.

then maybe the government should stop taking the rakyat' moolah!

forgive me for only wishing you lots on the third day but hey! i thought the festivities last for fifteen days ;)) not too late eh?

anyway, prior to our (temporary) separation before he left for his kampung throughout the long weekend, jade and i decided to have ~~family~~ dinner together. we picked LaLa Chong; in the spirit of Lunar New Year.

the first dish that was picked out from the menu was, of course, the lala lah! we ordered some spicy-cooking style lala. both of us are not a big fan of lala AND that dish didn't change our feeling towards lala at all. i find it a little bit too salty...and not spicy at all pun!

then we looked at the crab choices. contemplated on which one worth trying- the salted egg yolk crab OR the buttery, creamy, cheesy crab. unfortunately we were told that the crabs udah abis dong :(( boohooo.

we moved on to the squid. jade wanted calamari BUT i wanted the deep-fried honey baby squid. because that was recommended from those reviews i've read.

and THAT my friend, was definitely the winner of the night!!! *thumbs up* jade lovesssss it alot. tambah nasi due mangkuk because of it :P

yes it's that THAT small! *nomnomnom* pity them; died at young age to satisfied humans' tummies. *nomnomnom chomp down the second baby* it was THAT delicious!

another LaLa Chong speciality is the salt-grilled tilapia. we waited damn looong for it to be done; the last one being served on the table. jade only likes it because it's fresh (of course lah; the fish tank dekat depan tu jeeeeee!) and that's about it. i guess the fish isn't about anything else than its natural taste.

to have a "balance" meal, we ordered their beancurd with angled luffa. my favourite too!

all in all, we still don't like lala AND mcm confirmed takkan order it elsewhere too. the baby squid is highly recommended and i'd loveeeee to come again to try the crabs. after all the publicities about it, betul ke sedap sangat?

another one of us has got engaged! it's my twin; the duckie :))

it was raining whole day today but that didn't stop us from going all the way to taman tun and be part of their special day. thanks for the invitation, guys!

(ohkay i don't have any nicer photo of them together but i swear we had a major snapping here and there business after the ceremony. the cameraman was very..... bersemangat!hihihi)

didn't really feel like going back straight after the engagement. thus we then stopped by +wondermilk. been wanting to checkout the place ever since my uni years lagi but tak kesampaian. today, we finally made it! *thanks meentos*

the place is quite chic and very indie. reminds me of the cafe i once visited back during london years. cool place to hang out; i reckon. we ordered the red velvet, some blueberry thingy and cream cheese cuppacakes. i like the cream cheese one. red velvet was so so; or maybe im just too bias that i love hummingbird THAT much. oh i miss!

....because i personally think, it isn't just because we were stucked in whitechapel (dodgy-er zone of london) that we got together. fate brought us together to get through that phase of our life by having support from one another. we complete each other- with missyH being our version of restaurant-yellow pages, missyM being our travelling agent, missyA being our dietitian/ beautician/ fashion advisor and missyF as our entertainer (as she watches aloooot of korean drama AND is funny just by being herself).

the silliest thing we've done was back in form 5 where we "fly" from the boarding school. [if you're from daily school, "fly" means ~~running away~~ leaving from school without permission.

...slipping out from school was easy peasy. but never we thought of having company for that night. the boys (yg "megha" i.e. memamg gangster sekolah) decided to fly that night as well. and they were tailing us! gawddddd we ran like crazy maniac on the road; as she had to protect her *cough* good image of a student council member *cough*.

too tired of running, we took a right turn. entered this random school and hide ourselves at the pondok menunggu. hilang nafas berlari macam orang giler ohkay!!!! once everything cool down a bit, we felt uncomfortable with those extra eyes watching us. those students (yg memang budak sekolah tu) just stared at us. we gave them the "kene kejar orang giler!" look.

that was it- my first time AND last time tuang sekolah! not fun ok. all the adrenaline running wild through the bloodstream. cuak please? not my cup of tea.

jade and i was feeling rather hungry before we left shah alam for dewan perdana felda last saturday. plus we need to get a card for the newlywed couple! [memang tak senonoh; few hours before the reception barulah terhegeh2 cari gift! lol]

so we went to this bakery shop in PKNS. bought 4 buns and paid. before we left, i asked for the receipt. it just didn't make any sense to me how four buns which cost not more than rm2 each can total up to rm12?

what happened was that.... 2 cakes were already recorded in the cash machine and were included in my bill. it was only rm3.50 extra than what we should have paid for, not that i'm bothered much about it. it's just how they responded to their mistakes that made me pissed off.

you see, mula-mula the total was rm9-ish and then he looked at the receipt and claimed that he hasn't key in the milo drink. ohkay. tit tit tit jadilah nearly rm12.

IF the extra two cakes were a pure mistake, he should have detected it wayyyyy earlier before i actually asked for the receipt. ni tak, bile mintak, hesitated nak kasi... err errr.. nak tipu orang ke?

and his wife, my gawd, what a bad sales assistant she was! she looked at the receipt, took our plastic bag, keluarkan all of our buns and said, "betul la ni. tak salah pun. cume ade dua cake termasuk sekali."

WTH.

2 extra cakes being included in someone else' bill tak salah? O__o"

they didn't apologised at all. siap claimed the money we gave her tak cukup tu. helloooooo, how can you be in business line when you can't even do simple maths? gaaaaaaaaahhhhhh.

lesson of the day, be extra alert of the prices of stuff you bring to the counter. as easy as it is to keluarkan you moolah from the pocket, double check if it's the right amount. careless mistake may happens once in a while. and hey, if you are in those customer service line (i.e. jaga counter mcm org ni), it's ok to admit when you've done wrong.

i love the wide ranges of culinary experience it offers- japanese, korean, mexican and alot more! i love the broadway shows. i love the efficiency of the public transport- although the increased of price EVERY single freaking year was a pain in the ass. i love the 4 season weather; excluding the rainy-transition-part lol. i love groceries shopping at sainsburys- you can get ALOT with only 10pounds. i love the weekend market. i love shopping at oxford st. i love my london peeps AND it won't be the same without having them around.

siarra & dinderk is a newbie. the place is on top of departure lounge and smooch. i'd recommend it for the easy-ness to register into the course- just text them your name, i.c. and date of the class you wanted- and walla! come on the specified date, pay rm80, sign all the attendant sheets, sit relax ~~bbm with your mates~~ concentrate and your certificate will arrives at your doorstep within 1 week. i like it that it's clean BUT it doesn't have its own surau and the nearest one would be the one in sohoKL. which is kepaaaaaammmm, small, tak best! foodwise; so so....very basic, i would say.

....psssssttt i find kursus kahwin soooo boring-ish. BUT it is something that has to be done because Jabatan Agama Islam said so. my advice, go double date! at least you get to waste your 12 hours sitting beside someone you already knew and can exchange the "ahmagad his lawak is so lame" facial expression.

while we were there, we had meatworks for sunday lunch. we swapped our meal (errr more like i stole his meal because silly me, i ordered seafood at a restaurant specialising in MEAT! i'm allergic to mussels anyway). i had jade's carbonara spaghetti which was delicious *nyums* it has a generous amount of beef slices! soooooo sedap tau. i bet the burger or steak would taste even nicer..... next visit, i hope ;))

definitely a nice place to chill and dine with friends, especially for special occasion!

SO MUCH to tell about the engagement last saturday with a gazillion photos to share! it was so-called simple and small; considering that it was restricted to family members and closed friends only. we were expecting around 80 guests but a lot more came from his side (konon-konon 20+ orang kan, sekali double the number!). but alhamdulillah, it was beautiful in its own way.

where shall we start?

...the theme? i didn't have one, to begin with. all i know was that i'll be wearing blue lace baju kurung which used to be along's. (mind you, she only wore it once during the akad nikah of her SIL. and the lace is so sweet- such a waste to be left inside the cupboard, unworn).

my make up was done by Tina Z. i can count by one hand on how many times i actually wear proper, complete make up (i.e. foundation, concealer and powder) in my whole life. hers- it was very light, my kulit didn't feel lemas at all. she's very gentle and friendly. taking into account how poor my complexion is, she has done quite a good job in hiding what can be hidden! *cheeky grins* although i think my eyes were overly-done! in the sense that, maybe it could have been something simpler but nice enough for an engagement.

engagement dias. didn't have one! i remember mama once came home one day, complaining how people did extravaganza engagement till its hard to differentiate between nikah and engagement nowadays. from that moment, i scrapped off the idea of having mini dias for mine. ~~crossed~~. all i had was the wooden sampan-ish chair with two side-tables and a bowl of turquoise water with a mixture of orange-yellow garberas floating in it. and candles too! fresh flowers were bought from petaling street; thanks to the help of missyBestie. *smooch* sampai tercabut lah selipar makcik sorang tu :P

hantaran was wholly DIY! we went to nilai 3 to scout for good bargain and yessss, worth it to go if you're looking for dulang and bunga tipu. #nota kaki: need to know your limit of DIY-ing!!! you do save alot by doing things on your own BUT as a bride, the one under the limelight, you don't want to appear with those panda eyes and cranky mood as you didn't get enough rest the day(s) before. kaaaaaaan?

the photographer of the event was none other than my 2 brothers. J especially, was very patient melayan kerenah me+gfs yang suke camwhore!!! *peace*

but most of all, i loooove the fact that everyone just acted normal (sbb sgt comfortable and used to the brother) that the candid photos turned out

G-R-E-A-T!!!

manisa catering was responsible for the delicious lunch! i loooooveeee their rendang daging. nyums *thumbs up* insyallah will be working with them again for the w-day.

finally, the doorgift. was contemplating whether to give or not to give. in the end, we decided to purchase the steamed cake from our favourite makcik. unfortunately, due to the large number of turn up, we didn't have enough cakes to give out. sorry~!!!

if you ask me how my engagement was, i'd definitely say, "it was filled with lots and lots of christmasLOVE!!!" the loved ones came especially for the event; as far from kedah and terengganu. and drM is currently working in ipoh, that's an effort too yeah ;))

i think i'm the luckiest girl on earth to be blessed with wonderful friends like you lot! love you all to bits *smooch*

I FINALLY MET TWIN ITIK!!!! After 5 years ++ tak ketemu, we finally hugged each other again yesterday.

it was indeed a special day, not just because i just got myself engaged to the long-term mr.bofwen, but it was her quarter-century birthday as well! *throw confetti*

we decided to throw a surprise birthday party for the birthday girl. when she was told that all of them got some personal business to attend after the morning ceremony, actually everyone pergi berkumpul at moon's place. when she asked if it was a strictly girls nite out only, i secretly fb-ed her boyfriend the plans. when her boyfriend brought her to sunway pyramid for a quick lepak-ing session with his friends prior to her dinner with us, we (excluding moi- busy angkat2 meja dkt rumah ok. sorry girls!) were busy blowing the balloons and getting the place ready.

moon booked a room for 10 singers at amp square karaoke. we paid in total rm609.00 for buffet dinner PLUS 3 hours of ~~melalak~~ singing. the food spread was good- got noodles corner (soup and kari), Japanese corner (sushi, udon), malaysian corner (nasi lemak, bubur, yong tau foo, fried rice), western corner (salad, grilled chicken, mashed potato, sausages) and a looooooot more tau! tastewise; not bad i would say!

....and karaoke with them lot was uberly fun!!!! GILAAAAAA rock kapak ohkay rofl.

ieverybody seems to be getting married nowadays. if not, how come got too many invitations one? 25 seems to be the just-right age to get married! *wink*

unfortunately i had to ditched 2 invitations on saturday as i was too busy, being the cinderella of the house, scrubbing the floor of our lanai four times. i repeat: FOUR BLOODY TIMES. i swear the tikus/burung that kept on poop-ing on that floor will have sembelit for the coming one month. ggrrrrrrrrrr.

but i was determined to get to bie's wedding the very next day! mesti ohkay. the reception was held at dewan komuniti taman tun dr. ismail. very simple and yet very meriah indeed!

anyhooooo, it is soooo obvious that we are aging because... we see relationship in a more matured perspective now. it's not all about "love at first sight" with the lupdup oh-my-heart-skips-a-beat whenever i'm near you. it's not just about having fun being around him.

what's a husband-material guy?
probably someone that is stable- financially, emotionally, spiritually; and can actually be the man of the house. the leader of the family. someone that can be a good companion throughout life; be it good times bad times. someone that might not be a perfect person but he completes you. most importantly, you and him must have the same thinking of where this relationship will brings you to. there's no point of being with a person yang marriage never crosses his mind at all. no?

aaaaahhhhhhhh this weekend shall be my first weekend NOT seeing him ever since i came back for good in july.

we've made pact not to see each other until the e-day *checking out the calender on how many days left*i am usually spoiled by mr.bofwen every weekend; despite his hectic HO schedule.

well obviously we have to dedicate our seciput free-weekend for the big day preparations- checking out the perfect venue, hunting for hantaran(s), ring, meetings with potential op,wp blablabla.

wedding preparations are consuming most of our free time (plus moolah!) but insyallah it'll be worth it *fingers crossed*

the highlight of my job would definitely be the community outreach programme. and today i went to visit the program pemulihan dalam komuniti (PDK) penyayang at my district.

so i stood there, in the room filled with a number of children with special needs- austisme, down's syndrome, slow learner, hyperactive, blind- i felt sayu just by looking at them.

...children have always been my weakest point. it hurts seeing children in pain, fell sick and crying. and it make me sad looking at those children yang kurang sempurna. like they are too young to be tested THAT way. haih.

but Allah has put them in good hands; their parental units have been really supportive. the love of the father to bring his anak sulung for physiotherapy as he was born with small head and poor development of his backbone which made it impossible for him to stand, sit or even move on his own. how proud the mother was when she told me that his son, the pendekar mata satu,susahlah nak dapat b,c, d in his exams although he was born with his left eye empty- got eyeball but no nerves.

the willpower to fight for life in them- the parents and the child itself- is amazing! you know, with this kind of disability, some people chose to shut their life away from others. letting their life waste away and do nothing. even kiter, yang without any kecacatan, but being tested with some difficulties in life pun kadang-kadang mengeluh... "tak larat lah", "giving up" and to some people "bunuh diri" actually popped into their minds. *shook head*

you earn some, you loose some... that was what i picked up by the end of the day! and when you are on the losing side, try to see it from a different perspective. something better might actually be waiting for you to grab ;)) afterall only Allah knows what is best for you!

apparently nephew#1 doesn't likes to share.

he gets a bit jealous looking at his mum or dad playing/ talking/ carrying other kid. haritu along went to her friend's house-warming party and this random girl came over and sat on her lap sambil minum susu (must be damn sleepy already that she can't really tell who's her mum)... nephew#1 came and pushed her away! siap jeling you!

and his toys? they are solely HIS HIS HIS!!!
the latest news i heard was how he made his older-by-26-days-cousin cried. you see, babyQ lives with the grandparents from BIL's side. during their birthday (both are september babies!), BIL siblings bought 2 cars for them to play with. nephew#1 loves playing with BUT babyQ, on the other hand, rarely rides it. (he's slightly shorter than nephew#1 and thus his feet can't actually reach the floor to moves forward/backward).

but they love to fight over the car.
that's why lah nephew#1 wrestled with babyQ recently. he must have thought that was his. and so he pukul kepala budak tu.

ha ha ha ganas betul!

fret not girls! he's not like that all the time; as long as you kacau neither his toys nor his parents. AND when you join his lets-make-a-mess mission. then he'll get along with you very well. partner-in-crime gitu *wink*

i can't believe that i've been working as a first year dental officer (FYDO) for a whole month already!!! *pat on the back*

work has been very relaxing, i tell you.
only 2 days of hectic, rushed hari cabutan -which i partly hate it!!! why malaysians like to cabut cabut cabut one? got no problem also want the tooth to leave the mouth? our kesedaran on how important it is on having natural teeth is VERY VERY POOR! very disappointing... *shook head*

the rest of the week? patient walks-in by appointment ma. only 10-20 patients per day. sempoi. at some point, it felt as if i makan gaji buta. seating in the office, do some wedding research (YES! i got time to surf the net while working) and once im bored with bb, i'll be staring at the blank board infront of me. -->ohkay semoga my big boss doesn't know that this blog of mine exist!

best of all, my gaji is not much different than the medical officers! less rm30, less workload, less working hour...siap kene paksa by the boss suruh amik cuti rehat for a longer raya haji. no wonder mr.bofwen has been complaining! *evil laugh*

and did i tell you i got my first paycheck already? mr.bofwen only got his after 2 months of working...hihihi.

talking to others about your feeling is important. some share their problems and thoughts with their parents. but when the problem starts at home, between your parents- who do you run to?

sometimes you try to bottle up your anger. keep everything within yourself. play pretend that everything is alright, going to be ok.

but somehow, subconsciously, once you've reached the maximus of your patience level.... the anger starts to sip out. maybe you don't talk about your problems out-loud, in public. but you started to criticize, see things negatively, everything pun salah! emo tak kira tempat.

yang kene tempias? those always by your side. YOUR FRIENDS.

you see, as close friends, we try to be understanding. try to put ourselves in the shoes of our ~~emo~~ problematic friend. try to come up with excuses whenever the friend explode randomly. try to forgive and forget.

but the more i think about it, our main aim is actually to avoid any drama within us.

...somehow it's getting more and more tiring :((

it's true that we share our problems with friends BUT they are not the dumping site of your frustrations. they are not there to absorb your anger.not a punch bag to throw your fits around. not a toy for your childish tantrum.

believe it or not, i hardly go to the cinema to watch movie. not that i am a BIG SUPPORTER of *cough* cetak rompak *cough* but i prefer to stay in, watch in the comfort of my own place (or back in london it'll be missH's crib- our all-time home-cinema).

whereas mr.bofwen is the total opposite!

and so he's been trying to get US on a movie-date but always kene put on-hold. he even surprised me at my workplace; hoping to "kidnap" me and bring me out for dinner+movie. unfortunately, i got ~~better~~ plans on friday night.

we ended up spending some quality time with our dearie friend, missL, the night before she boarded the plane back to london.

but not today!

the early morning to jalan tar hunting for shawl and beads, petaling street for fresh flowers before we rushed back through the traffic along federal highway to get us to sunway convention centre for missY's graduation... oh boy, i'm glad we chose to catch megamind 3D after all those errands!

[...and i just realised that i haven't watch animated movie for quite a while. the last one was.... Avatar! last december ohkay.]

anyway, megamind was....differently original and refreshing! and he make a lovable super villain character; especially when he's with minion the bestfriend. minion is overdramatic but i LOVE his character. rofl.

2 hours well spent! it's a feel good movie and i definitely shared a good laugh with mr bofwen while watching it ;)) which is what we need before the hunt for THE e-ring begins!

despite the underweight issue, i am actually a big fan of food!!! and ever since i picked up the habit of trying out restaurants back in london, i find it hard not to do so nowadays. afterall i am back in my own hometown where everythings is HALAL *big grin*

the only problem now is the $$ka-ching$$.

being gaji-less at the moment + saving up for the big day + car loan to pay are thereasons behind my "poorer than before" status. and my "high end taste" (bak katemr.bofwen) doesn't seems to help at all :S [tony romas' steak as birthday treat...acceptable lah, no?]

anyway, since all this kedai western-ish kan mahal-mahal, so we've been checking out restaurants that serve traditional food. our malaysian food. from belanga@the gardens to serai@empire gallery, we liked yati ayam percik@bangi the most.

mind you, mr bofwen is veeeerrrryyyyy ...uhmm not picky because he eats anything. but very hard to pleased lah!

i spent half of my deepavali day off with mr.bofwen. (...half because he had to work until friday prayer. poor doc!)

we then spent half of our quality time together with old friends at old town kopitiam sect 13.

two of them are getting married soon!!!

both of them happened to be best friends since those years back in mrsm pc, kelantan.

and oh boy, i never knew guys talk about wedding preparations too. with another guy friend(s). to be more specific, about colour theme sumore tauuuuuuu! *trying hard not to laugh* silent *turned red*

she was a friend i got to know back in primary school. very sempoi and happy-go-lucky. one fine day back during my first year in uni, i found out that she had one of her legs amputated due to bone cancer. only 20 years old and yet being tested THAT way... i sat back and can't help myself from feeling sorry for her.

i only got to meet her during alia's wedding last summer. basically she continued her degree, graduated and actually managed the ko-op in UITM. started dating someone new few months back (when we were talking about "eh you nak kawin bile" and so on). still the same old her- very chirpy, kaki pakai lipbalm and camwhore- as if nothing is bothering her.

oh i forgot to add that not long before i returned to malaysia for good, her cancer came back. this time, it's in her lungs.

berat mata memandang, berat lagi bahu memikul. i yang sayu ohkay! but she's very strong and positive about life! she fought cancer for nearly 5 years... and she lost the battle last tuesday.

to quote her bestfriend's status,

"I lost my best friend today.it's hard to let her go but she's in a better place right now,free from the pain she suffered for 5 years.

al-fatihah."

probably it doesn't makes sense to you that i kept on talking about the w-day when i still call mr.bofwen.... mr bofwen! *cheeky grin*

the truth is, we are not engaged. not yet.

the original plan was to merisik+bertunang on the same day BUT mendapat tentangan hebat from my family yang sungguh beradat! i then dirisik-ed on the 10th syawal (which was on the 19th sept 2010) and t'was a very,very,very simple meeting between these two families. well, mama being mama, invited her whole nogori clan! we exchanged food (nasi arab- future FIL's specialities! and lemang+rendang kampung wan don nogori's style).

i then was given a cincin bilah rotan as "tanda". it's yellow gold. maybe macam kampung to some of you but I LOVE IT! classic gitu ;) just like us; old couple. sudah lapuk tapi still hangat! rofl.

since we knew each for years and years already, we actually considered of kahwin terus! but parental units decided to have a mini-engagement ceremony just to get to know both sides' keluarga kembangan, prior to the wedding. insyallah it'll be on christmas day.

and memanglah i've started working BUT belum terima gaji, so abah offered to pay for most of the stuff. *hugs for daddy dearest* i'm trying to contribute as much as i can. thus GOOD+ EFFICIENT financial planning sangat lah crucial! every cent counts ohkay *wink*

unfortunately, im unable to invite all of the friends to the engagement thingy since it's sort of private. it's no biggie, by the way. just a small engagement.

insyallah, panjang umur murah rezeki, you lots will be invited to the BIG DAY itself! let's save-the-date for w-day after the engagement lah, shall we?

i survived my first week at work!!! *pat on the back*

not that i hate my job. the hardest part of of being a working lady is actually the journey to get to the workplace. quite pening for someone yang hardly drives outside shah alam. like me.

and that satu ratus, my friend, is the kilometer i've covered everyday. two hours per day were spent in the car; dihimpit by loads of lorries (bawa tanah, bawa kereta, bawa minyak etc) and bas kilang while driving on jalan kampung yang sungguh bumpy2 macam naik roller-coaster.

to make things worse, they are all mad about speed!!! laju giler nak mampos @#$%!!!

me, with the speed 80-90km/h (new car, kenot speed too much ma!), had to endure all the honking and flashing. haih.

(...don't laugh but i literally berdoa all the way for my safety. takut please accident? and if the car gets hurt, i can feel the pain too.)

i shall not complained as i am attached to a dental clinic in one of the daerahs in selangor. AND it is only for FOUR MONTHS. then i'm off to somewhere closer to home. but busier.

not sure which one is worse.... far but free. nearby but busy *shrug*

anyway, their wedding reception was held at wisma pkps, shah alam. initially mama and abah were all set to have mine there as well, just like along. but ahmagaaaaad, their wedding package dah naik harga now!!!! it is rm60,000 all inclusive. *fainted*

with that price, i might as well just have my reception in a hotel. reason being, they can only cater for 600pax for served or 1500 for buffet. even concorde shah alam will cost me rm830 per table. cheaper, no?

so forget it lah, kuzie catering!!! *waved goodbye, not turning back*

but finding THE PLACE ain't that easy tau!*headache* i nak ni, parentals nak tu.

i'm okay having it done dekat rumah, honestly. but got no support from the familia :(( messy, so they said.

requirement no#2: must have aircond; quote mama. that's why outdoor garden wedding was rejected as well! and abah added, got nyamuk nanti tak comfortable.

after much consideration and discussion with the parentals+mr.bofwen, we decided that there's no point spending that much for the venue. a decent airconditioned hall with tables and chairs would be sufficient enough. that gives us the flexibility to use our own favourite caterer. *thumbs up* yummy food is essential tau! and i can spend more+ have the freedom to hire my own wedding planner for the decor, to suits my taste and preference. and budgettttt!

alhamdulillah, my car loan was approved-despite me being still unemployed- and tadaaaa! my latest baby (and the most expensive thing i owned at the moment!) joined the family today. *big, wide smile*

unfortunately, this new baby of mine came to me in a famished-state; i.e. tank empty, red alert shown.

o'oohh today's first challenge was to isi minyak.
malunyeee nak bagitau but*bisik-bisik* i never isi minyak before!
[...uhmmm maybe once lah. itupun i got a little help from the abang motor next door... after he saw me struggling, trying to buka the tank! *laugh*i know, so stoopid rightttttt!]

i went to the nearest shell, parked my car at the furthest pit-stop (jauh sikit dari orang; so if terkial-kial nobody will notices me also). had to make phone call to confirm what kind of petrol i need to use. got my bonuslink card! paid. so lets do it people!

and woopeedooooo, it wasn't that hard lah to refuel your tank!!! kacang mamak je *wink*

all i need now would be my own copy of house keys and the gate remote control.

aahhhhhhhh, one more thing. the most important one. how could i not mention you?

i'm pretty sure most of us sing everyday; at least in the shower or in the car during those i-hate-you-damn-traffic mornings. *giggle*

well i do. but honestly, i don't sing much in public. i do joined friends for karaoke-ing though. like yesterday, i went out with @littlemisspilot and @yasmin_soraya to cure our monday blues! that was sooooo random!

when others were busy in the office, we were busy uhmm singing our lungs out and hogging the microphone for a good 3 hours!!! ohkay M&M hogged the mics MORE than me :P

we even managed to cheer up this lucky friend of ours who was bored to death in the office *giggle* i hope you had fun listening to our croaky, froggy voice!

she is definitely my all time favourite writer; ever since i laid my hands (and eyes) on the PS, I Love You book.

the last book i've read written by her was The Gift. [actually baru habis baca few days ago- maklumlah, shipping boxes kan baru sampai :P ]

...and i loveeeeeeeee it!!!!

the storyline is pretty basic:
how time is more precious than gold, more precious than diamonds, more precious than oil or any valuable treasures. everyone knew that. cliche. duuuh.

how people, nowadays, are being too workaholics. spent so many time moving so quickly through the minutes, hours and days, through the moments. maybe constantly looking over their shoulders, always looking at what the next person was doing, comparing themselves, looking to achieve greater things, always wanting to be better. Along the way, bits by bits, you stopped noticing life.

how when you moved too fast, and you haven't taken no pause for breath; the rhythm soon became too quick that your heart could barely keep up. you became exhausted.

all those above, isn't that bound to happen when you start working?
then it makes me worried; thinking of what kind of person i'll be once i join the workforce in one week's time.

we always complained of not having enough time. and yes, finding balance between professional, working life and social life can get a little bit difficult. especially if you are on a long-hour working clock macam doctors.

so, to anticipate the coming busy-ness, i've decided to spend these coming few days wisely with my loved ones. to kickstart, i had a lovely lunch-outing with my chanteks; T and I (we're missing L) at pasta zanmai today. anddddd managed to go on a no-wedding-monkey-business date with mr.bofwen *thumbs up*

can't believe that i am now being left with only ONE WEEK to be an unemployed dentist in town.....

my "five years' worth of life in london" boxes; they arrived safely today.

but looking back at all the hassle i had to go through in order to ship back all my stuff... gosh! i wished we, malaysians, can provide a more efficient service lah.

i was already unhappy wit the collection of the boxes while we were still in london- kept changing dates and time, all because of this datuk (the bos lah kan) didn't inform his konco-konco. how do you do business lah like this?

then it's the same case from here as well! konon "oh the latest by 24th. memang kene habiskan la!" come 24th, "oh lori penuh. next week ye?". come next week, "laaa sect. XX ke? diorang pegi salah address tadi."

so dengan selamba-bomba, i sent them a text and to conclude, "dah bagi tarikh, make sure datang ye. bukannye saya takde kerja lain, nak tunggu kat rumah ni sampai lori datang je."

and guess what? they sent it today!!! :))

BUT they were so mean that they left all my boxes on ground floor- where the cars sit. obviously they knew it's a garage. AND sumpah, it was literally only few steps away from the gate.

you see, S dated A during our first year in the boarding school. but the relationship didn't go far... they broke up and there he was, S, started hunting for another girl. i've never spoken to her before... i only got to know A few months before spm due to the issue of the girls against her bf-after-S; L. due to that incident, i was dipulaukan also la :((

B was the first girl i got to know on my very first day in the boarding school. she's very nice and quiet. she was my meal-buddy, my cube-neighbour and the one that made boarding school survive-able. (unfortunately) she fell for S once he's back on the market! and they got together. but not for long *the best decision lah, B!*

C, on the other hand, used to be my classmate BUT we were never that closed until the day we decided to "fly" together. because C felt like watching the fireworks; recommended by the makcik dining hall during dinner. that was the daring-est, random thing i ever done. sneaking out of college, ran from the boys yang memang kaki fly, went to the dumbest funfare ever and crawled under the gate to get back to the dorm. S hated C for i-dunno-what-reason btw.

to cut long story short, C dated L when he was still with A. omg riteeeeee. drama-mama la mula-mula. but we, girls are smarter la. no point of fighting with each other over guys. so not worth it *wink*

well the fifth person in this special friendship is D. she's my bestfriend since 14. it has always been LDF (long-distance friendship) for us- that's why i got one whole box with loads of letters and cards from here *hugs* she likes challenging guys so i introduced her to S. for fun. never thought she would fall for him. she fell really hard and it hurt me so much to see her being heartbroken like that!

i officially hate S for hurting A, B, C and D.
....but without realising, it was because of him, the five of us got together. we shared the same heartaches caused by him. we had lots of good time kutuk-ing what a jerk he was *rofl*.

syukur alhamdulillah, the past 25 years have been amazing.
i've accomplished and achieved my goals and dreams. i've lost some friends, made new friends. had few failures and made mistakes along the way. i fell and bruised/hurt myself....and then i got up again.

and oh boy, love overloaded last weekend. in conjunction to welcome the second quarter of century ;))

along+BIL treated me kenny rogers for lunch. and good birthday dinner made by mama. *rubs tummy*

followed by the never-ending birthday wishes from friends. thanks lovelies!!!

unfortunately, mr.bofwen had to work 7am-7pm on that day. and of course he was late for our date! but i was grateful that he made that night happened. he picked me up from home, drove to the gardens.

got the pavlova cake from alexis (been wanting to try it since ages!)

treated me with delectable yummilicious ribs and burger from tony roma's.

and of course, he personally make sure that i reached home safe and sound. *love*

...all that effort after 12-hours long of shitloads from the hospital. suwwiiiiiit, no?

the next morning i was surprised by the little brother with delicious' red velvet cupcake- my favourite!

then my girls played the BFF-role; they treated me for a manicure/pedicure treatment at kukubar, bangsar. no, i didn't held any sharp weapons and forced them to pay ohkay! *cheeky laugh* known them for ages and they are always the sweetest!!! definito.

but you know what was so special about turning a year older this time?

i've realised that i've spent my first quarter-of-century, on my own, working so hard trying to cross out the long lists of "things i wanna achieve before i turn 25". now, i'm pretty confirmed that, i am ready for the next stage in life. insyallah.

may Allah makes it easy for both of us. we're working on it ;)) pray for us ok.

**location wise, it'll be very convenient for MOI if i were to have my reception there but unfortunately i had to crossed it out as, personally, i thought a)the place is a bit small and cramped, b)food was just so-so. **

getting maried... having children of my own....

as for the past 5 years, it's only me in london and the rest were still in malaysia enjoying their loooooong summer break.
